Arizona has cut more funding to K-12 public schools than any other state from 2008 to 2015.
When elected, Catherine Ripley will work to return funding to public education and to make a college education affordable as stated in the Arizona Constitution, Section 6, “The university and all other state educational institutions shall be open to students of both sexes, and the instruction furnished shall be as nearly free as possible.”
She is a strong proponent of early childhood education and most importantly ensuring the continuum from pre-school through college education. She will fight to ensure that programs are instituted in LD 10 and statewide to help all children to have a fair chance to escape the cycle of poverty.
Catherine will work to start the communication between public and private schools in order to form a plan to unite their goals and visions.
Because this is about nothing less than the future of our state, of our economy, and of our children.
